Has anybody here dealt with WMJ Marine? They are an online store and are currently selling some Raymarine Instruments I am looking to buy tonight, cheaper, by a pretty large margin, than any other outlets I have shopped over the last few months.. Thanks!

just a note of caution, if you buy from an online store that is not an "official" Raymarine distributor, it becomes your responsibility to pay for shipping and repairs, in other words, the warranty becomes limited. This is especially important when the issue becomes "well who installed it?"

Can you be more specific about the products that interest you. I scanned through some of their listings and saw nothing that stood out. Most of the older instruments, i.e. non N2k compatible, are discounted widely outside of the store you mention. The i40 series for example.

I am looking for just the essential instruments for lake sailing. Raymarine i70s, running from $550.00 to $479.00 and the tri-transducer from $350.00 to $300.00. WMJ is $429.00 and $202.00. Pretty good deal, when electronics are such a cut throat business. This module can be greatly expanded just like the Simrad, Garmin,etc. I save about $150.00 bucks, I can use for my head/holding tank re-pipe. Maybe I am just cheap! I will get the wind speed/angle instrument later when I remove the mast this winter.

It isn't worth my time to install Raymaine equipment purchased at any price. You might wish to checkout other manufacturers of the same gear if you are looking for longevity and support.
I've had nothing but problems with their gear, right up to and including their professional big boat gear and the support personnel have been pretty clueless, especially when one is spending the big bucks on international long distance phone calls.
In one instance, a huge treasure hunting operation came to a screaming halt when their chartplotter network couldn't figure out which unit should be the master and which should be the slave. 4 hours on the phone trying all their suggestions (Raymarine tech, "Have you checked the fuses?" Me, "The equipment is on and sending error messages." Raymarine tech, "Well, we think you should check the fuses.") and we were no closer to a solution.

Wonder whether tech support has been contracted out. Sounds like the kind of recommendations that somebody's reading from a screen. Next call that "tech" fields might be about a coffee maker. Was the person on the other end of the call apologizing?

I must be blind... did not see the discounts you mentioned. It helps , when asking for discussion on prices, quality and function to be specific. Perhaps the discounts were offered in the shopping cart area (ala Defender).
A quick comment. I recommend starting a networked system with a n2k capable chart plotter or multi function display. Add the "smart" sensors as the budget allows. Garmin, b&g, simrad make reasonably priced units that are price promoted on a regular basis by major chandleries. I purchased my unit with 10% off in a storewide promo.

I opted for the b&g vulcan 7, but Garmin has some nice units with depth transducer and charts for well under $500. These type of units have multiple screens for the various data sensors. I have wind, auto pilot, ais, vhf, depth, media/radio data on the n2k network. All share info and can be displayed on the reasonably priced chartplotter .
