A couple of years ago I saw a guy that re-vamped his mac with a wooden interior instead of carpeting ...Cannot find the pics for the life of me. Does anyone have a link to them.
Check out some of the pictures near the end of the slide show in my signature.A couple of years ago I saw a guy that re-vamped his mac with a wooden interior instead of carpeting ...Cannot find the pics for the life of me. Does anyone have a link to them.
She was hit (at her mooring) by a cabin cruiser going full tilt in the middle of the night. The crew was all drunk. They took off at high speed as soon as they figured out no one was aboard Chiquita (according to neighbors.) It was a hit and run; they were never caught.Great shots and nice work. Love the shots of the wee ones as well. Question though... How did she get dismasted?
Here is a link to some alternatives to the wood strips.A couple of years ago I saw a guy that re-vamped his mac with a wooden interior instead of carpeting ...Cannot find the pics for the life of me. Does anyone have a link to them.
Not sure if you are addressing this to me, but in my case I ripped 1/2" plywood into 1-1/2" strips to use as "furring strips" under the tongue and groove cedar wainscoting material. The cedar is screwed to the strips with brass screws.Beautiful jobs on the interiors.
I was wondering though, how did you attach the wood to the interior of the hull? Obviously nails and screws are out of the question. Construction adhesive maybe?

It did not seem to link in my previous post so here it is again.
The synthetics are no way near as beautiful as the wood veneer in the pics above but they are lighter, easier to install and likely weather proof.
