Brakes are almost on. Tomorrow, I finish, bleed and hit the road. We'll be sailing DUW (dead up wind) at 60 knots to Camden, Maine (about a 2 1/2 hour trip). By 2:00 I hope to be on the water for a week of nothing that hasn't got something to do with the ocean. (not sure if that came out right, but go with it) There are literally hundreds of islands in Penobscot Bay to visit. We'll anchor a few nights and pick up a mooring in one of the marinas for a few nights. Plenty of food, wine and bug spray on board. Some candles to set the mood and cards to finish the night. Maybe that's backwards, I forget. We're pretty excited and kind of cranky right now. Too much to do, too many things went wrong and needed me to pull yet another miracle out of some part of my anatomy in the nick of time. Am I the only one that does that? I think not. If anybody has a favorite spot on Vinylhaven or Deer, or anyplace in P Bay, let me know. I've got a few ideas from a couple of previous post but you can't have too many great gunkholes.
