Toilet keeps filling

Our Raritan PHIIE keeps filling with water to the static waterline. Even with all in & out valves closed. It has syphon loops on the bowl intake and the overboard discharge. This started after a vinegar treatment.
Is this just a bad joker valve or something more?
I'm guessing it's water in the syphon loop coming back thru the joker...

Is there a macerator with a thruhull piped into the discharge? Maybe the thruhuill is not shut off.

More than likely it is the Joker valve. I have had to replace mine on one of those cheapie Jabsco Heads twice. I thought that the culprit in my case was the RV antifreeze we put in when winterizing. Valve does not seal completely, and backflow results.

No macerator. I'd expect backflow if a valve was open...

Joker valves won't completely stop seepage, they are designed to stop backflow but can still allow some amounts to seep in. If you haven't replaced it in the last 2 years, go ahead and swap it out to make sure it is sealing as best as it can. Also check Peggy's Headmistress forum on this site and there are instruction for rebuillding and maintaining you PHII. I tell people to grease (lube) the pumps annually and rebuild them every two to three years (this is one case where prevention is so much better than the cure; it's much easier to repair toilet parts when empty and dry!)

Make sure your siphon break vent hose in the discharge line is not plugged. Otherwise it is just residual liquid in the discharge line that slowly seeps back into the bowl. Check also your holding tank vent line and make sure it is clear. It could be allowing the tank to pressurize slightly and this is causing a higher level of back flow.

I would however recommend checking the through hulls to make sure they are functioning correctly, the intake could be open ever so slightly.
