I bought a catalina 22 last weekend, I'm trailering it over the hill and putting it in the water for my first time today in mission bay, san diego
Me and my lil boy are going to camp on it for the weekend
I never really sailed before except I had a lil 10' hobie bravo catamaran for a year or so, but it was easy with a furling mast and no jib
I got a very responsible and experienced c22 owning buddy of mine meeting me at the bay in a couple hours to put the boat together and show me how to sail it today, after that we're on our own for the rest of the weekend
I'm taking sleeping bags, clothes, a coleman stove, lots of beverages, water and food
dumped the old gas, lubed everything, new batteries in the GPS, radios, lights, and charged the marine battery in the boat
I have a boatload of questions.. how do you anchor that thing for the night?
do I need to drag that boom tent with me? it's taking up space in the V berth
wish me luck, I'll be checkin in on my pda... if yoiu see an SOS in this thread come get me lol
