I had a cover made
I recently had a tarp made for mine. I live in Michigan where we get a fair amount of snow.I removed the mast and have it hung diagonally accross my garage ceiling. All other removable parts, sails, etc, are stored in my basement.I went to a tarp and awning company and had them make a tarp to my dimensions (not a boat cover, mind you, although they can do that as well...this is less expensive because it wasn't form-fitted). They we out of light grey, so I ordered mine in light tan. That worked nicely and covers the hull and winch.I also made sure that I wiped every last drop of water out of the boat and tipped the trailer back to allow all the water to drain out of the channel through which the roller furling line passes through the hull. There was a fair amount of water in there, which presumably could have frozen, expanded, and cracked something.
