Sounds very doable to me. The budget for our ‘77 h27 is:

- $2,100 for slip, hauling, winter storage
- $1,000 average per year for maintenance and improvements. All done by our marina, sailmaker, rigger, etc.
- $3,500 total with miscellaneous.

Your low slip cost puts you right there. And we don’t think we would get over $7,000 if we sold now. (No plans to do so for at least 5 years.)

I'm in the market as were . Colonial Beach
Still at the same job. She definitely keeps my wife and I busy and I agree, she needs to grow up on the water.

I watched this video with my 4 year old Grandaughter this morning.

I hope it inspires her and me to have sailing adventres.

Seeing Liz at the helm, my granddaughter shouted with glee. “I want to steer the boat!“

Of course I said sure... you can steer the boat. (In my mind I said.. Oh no.... :yikes: Another female steering me through adventures. Maybe that is why pirates always say Arrrgh....)

Ah, good taste there, my friend. Liz started out what seems like a loooooooong time ago, and was covered extensively by Latitude 38 back when I lived in California, and around the time she was just getting started, before the videos. She's a surfer, too. She did a great deal of upgrades to her Cal 40, IIRC. Could probably read all of her exploits at www.latitude38.com. You know, while we've got some time on our hands...
