Its a Mk 1.
Ahhhh phooey. I had a couple friends who wanted to pitch in and we'd crew it together, but the probability of that actually happening are slim, seeing as we're all three college students! One day, though...one day. I'll keep my eyes peeled for a mkII!

There must be something about Valentine's Day.
It's so interesting you posted this yesterday, because when I contacted the guy with a free windmill to give away, he also said he had a 1971 30' C&C MK1 to "gift".
I said, Bad timing, but I'd love to see her.

These are the pics he had on his phone. She's on a lake in Virginia.

Simon, if she's in the shape he says she's in, rebuilt atomic engine and new LED lighting, needs plumbing redone, you could pay to transport her to the Chesapeake and have a great adventure sailing her back to Texas, then keep her or sell her.

Careful, looking at boats for sale is like looking at puppies for sale. Hard to walk away. That one looks good from here though.

Kind of strange because the manufacture date would say MK 1 but the front hatch and side ports and diesel engine say MK 2 ..
Late in the production run of the 29-1, the fixed side lites were changed from the aluminum framed style to the frameless style similar to the 29-2. Also the Atomic 4 engine was replaced with a 2 cylinder Yanmar. I believe it was the 2QM series. All of the 29-2's had Yanmar 2GM series engines and the fixed frameless side lites.
