hi I am trying to figure out where and what to install in my boat. I had a 9" vcr/tv but it just died after 6 years of duty.
I want to install a lcd/dvd flat panel but none will fit on the hanging locker in the saloon. now I am looking at mounts ,
but I figured to ask here before I buy.
thx In advance.

As Steve said..

As Steve said you'll be best to use a 12V model. Inverter inefficiencies on a TV can run as high as 30+%.

I bought the mount and the TV from Target. They have dedicated 12V "trucker/RV" models on their on-line web site..

What size are you looking for??

Read the link below for more information related to TV/Inverter inefficiencies.

Inverter Inefficiency (LINK)

Ours in mounted to the bulkhead in the salon and the bracket will swing out and twist up and down, side to side.

I was looking for some under 15" screen size but they few and far between. most of the tvs I have looked at are 120vac none seem to have the wall warts anymore.
thx Mike
