Tillerpilot TP100

I use a navico tillerpilot 100 on my O'Day 272. It fails under heavy load(slips). If anyone has repaired this type of problem I could use some help! Can you do it yourself?

Autohelm

Hey Mike, I had an O'Day 272 for 15 years and used an Autohelm 2000 from Raytheon. They are only about $300 and work well on the tiller. I highly recommend it.As you know Autohelms are very "tender" to weatherhelm and you must ease the mainsail and traveler in puffs or the autohelm won't work well.That might be the problem with your navico.
