Tiller question

Hi all, I have a 1977 H25 with tiller steering. The part of the tiller that goes over the post and connects the tiller handle to the assembly is cracked. Does anyone know where I might begin to look for this? Thanks Craig S/S Wind Toy

Not sure of the part. Can you have it welded. If not call Hunter Marine and speak with either Gregg Emerson or mike thomas

Craig, I had the same problem, welds cracking. Take it to a good shop that can weld stainless, I had mine rewelded, along with 4 stanchions for a little over $50.00

The fitting is a bronze and the crack is right where it tightens up. My welder is not confident that it can be welded successfully. Craig

Craig: Check the Edson catalog. They may have something. I would also ask Hunter to see if they know.
