I am a second year sailor on my Mac 26S "Madrigal" and I am wanting to do much more by way of solo sailing this year. Don't get me wrong, I love my crew, it is juat that I want to get out more often than they do and I am limited by the necessity to have someone hold onto the equipment during the delicate times such as ajusting sheets and halyards. So please tell me about tiller locking. Do these systems work? Is a bungee-rig better (not as "hard" in terms of resisting natural give and take on the rudder during a normal sail I am told) or are they all a fallacy? Don't get me wrong I am not going to be sleeping in my hammock aforeships, but I need an exrtra pair of hands to solo. Any advice would be welcome.Thanks.Phil R
