My boat was converted to wheel steering long ago. I found the tiller in it's cover hidden away in the quarter berth. Th original glue had completely deteriorated away so all the teak and holly pieces were seperated. I sanded them all down to remove any old glue and glued them together two pieces at a time with outside wood glue. I then sanded the tiller to remove any glue runs. It needs a final sanding to make it smoother and then your choice of varnish or epoxy. I spent alot of time on it, I don't know why. I guess I was bored. It is just the wood, not the metal piece. I used that on an emergency tiller.
Anyway I gladly offer it to anyone who can use it.
