after the test sail of our soon to be 94 23.5, I noticed the tiller handle feels very loose. I would certainly think the tiller handle can be bushed where the bolts attach thru the rudder. What type of bushings have been used? I was thinking some type of teflon. The other question I have pertains to the depth transducer location. The current transducer is located aft berth, I am thinking this is due to the water ballast tank, but I would rather have the transducer mounted forward of the centerboard, but I don'yt know exactly where the water ballast tank ends forward. Under the v-berth storage would be my guess as to a safe place.

Do Not Want to Discourage You at All

This is a question (both of them) that comes up often and is an easy fix. Look in the archives for all sorts of stuff on the tiller. A search under my name and tiller will bring up my fix I'm sure. As for the tranducer you are not going to be going fast enough for the six or eight foot difference to matter that location is where everyone has put theirs on these boats. I'd give you a better answers but I'm on my third cocktail and going to bed. I'll search tomorrow to show you the articles in the archives. Nighty night.
