I am wondering if anyone has a suggestion about adding a tiller extension to a 1994 H-19. I hate to drill holes in my metal tiller, but not sure what alternatives there are. Also, any suggestion on type of extensions would be great too. Thanks.

A very easy job

I installed a Forespar adjustable extension on the aluminum tiller of my 240 a couple of years ago. After sizing up the correct placement, the drilling was actually very easy. Be sure to use aluminum hardware and bolts that go through the entire diameter of the tiller, secured by a nut. You can easily remove any excess length. Simple screws through one surface will work loose. Plan ahead and buy some extra nylon tiller clips since these seem to break pretty easily. They're a buck or two each. I'm not sure if it's really necessary, but you might want to drill a drain hole in the bottom of the low point of the tiller just in case moisture gets in. I don't think the job will take more half an hour, and it will add to your enjoyment without damaging the tiller at all. Good luck.

Thanks!

Thanks. I was concerned about the drilling aspect, but going all the way through makes sense and seems rational. Frank
