I have a 2002 Hunter 240 and would like to install a tiller autopilot. I have read about some 240 owners installing the Simrad TP 10 and the Raytheon ST 1000. Any ideas on which would be more appropiate for the 240? The Simrad seems to be about $100 cheaper than the Raytheon. Please give me your input.

Thanks

Thanks. I checked it out but it is missing the mounting hardware. What I would like to know which of the two is better for the 240 and what are the differences of the two.

Simrad

I had a TP10 on my previous boiat and it worked like a charm, and the people from Simrad were great.

hardware

Tom: Did the TP-10 come with all the necessary hardware or did you have to buy additional hardware? If you had to buy additional hardware was it available through a Simrad dealer or did you have to go to a local hardware or marine store? Thanks for your response.

Hardware Options

When I look at the Simrad options, it has different sizes for pedestal bracket, pushrod extension, cantilever bracket and tiller bracket. I don't know which options do I need, if any. What I am trying to find is someone who already installed a Raytheon or Simrad that can point me in the right direction. Any ideas or suggestions will be appreciated.
