Tiller Arm Radius

Our boat is a Rhodes 41 year 82. Im installing a Raymarine Type1 linear drive for the Autopilot. In the installation guide says that the "tiller arm radius should be of 250mm"., but there is only space for a 200mm tiller arm.
Question: Is there any problem at all if a 200mm. tiller arm is installed instead ?

The only one who could "properly answer" your question would be Raymarine. I'd give them a call with your problem... perhaps they have a solution that won't affect your warranty. Sorry, I'm just trying to be helpful.

Curious what you found out. It's probably going to depend on vessel displacement. They may spec the next lsrger drive due to shortened radius.
