Can someone with a late model Hunter 25 measure the distance from the hook on the back trailer to the back cleat on the Hunter 25? My boat is in the slip and my trailer stored for the season and I am not able to measure or guess the distance. I see 4 foot tie downs listed, but I am not sure if they will be long enough. The Hunter dealer said that tie downs should have come with the boat, but I bought it used and didn't get them with the deal. He said to buy one inch wide tie downs, but I am not sure of the length. Any suggestions as to type of tie downs that work well would be appreciated.

At WM you can purchase a 1" x 10' tie down

to be placed across the cockpit from port to starboard. One tie down is all you need. The boat is not going to slide on the trailer and the strap will prevent it from parting with the trailer in a pot hole or an accident.

Not Long Enough

Benny, I thought of that, but I don't want to have to have to step over the tie down everytime I step onto the boat. Also, I don't think that the ten foot tie down would be long enough for what you are proposing. I am still trying to get the measurement from the back cleat straight down to the eye on the trailer.
