Thru deck electric plugs / connectors

I installed speakers up high in the Bimini top of my 30 O'Day. I wanted to be able to take them down along with the top in the fall. This required the use of a 4 prong thru deck plug. The only one the local marine store had was this thing.... found here

One speaker cut out, then the other! They gave me another...same deal. Is there anything better?

I would likely use something like a cable clam and inline waterproof connectors but there are lots of waterproof deck connection choices as well. You will need to know the wire gauge you are using for the speakers to get a good match to the connectors.

Do a Google search for "waterproof bulkhead electrical connectors" and then you can make a choice on cost, features, method of connection and what is available shippable to you in reasonable quantities.
