The throttle slips on my '88 O'Day 302. Does any one know how to tighten it?

Try a small screw-on hose clamp,

that's what was on my O'Day 31. Tightening the clamp creates friction between the cable and the cable housing that it slides through. I actually removed mine because it was making the throttle too stiff. I was also concerned that it might eventually wear through the cable housing.

Yes

I'm in the middle of replacing everything that runs up my steering pedistal on my "88 O'Day 302, so yes I know. You need to remove your compass, three screws hold it down. Be careful when you move it, don't want to pull your wires to the compass light off. On the inside where the lever goes through the pedistal is a tightening screw that you can adjust to get any amount of friction you want. Piece of cake. Dave..............
