My 77 OD25 tall rig has the original VIRE7 inboard engine that runs great. The throttle/shift control is mounted on the port side of the cockpit "well", cables run under the cockpit to starboard side of engine. The throttle cable snapped at the control end and need to be replaced. I know this is a longshot but I assume that this shifter is the original. It is a single lever throttle/shifter with a nickel sized pull knob below the shifter that engages the shifter. Ithe the knob puller out the lever controls throttle only, with the knob pushed in the lever controls throttle and shifter. I'm trying to locate the manufacturer to get a replacement cable. There are no markings or numbers on the unit.....by any chance does anyone have a similar model and know who made it?

You should be able to make a replacement from a universal cable easy. I doubt there are OEM replacements anymore.
