Throttle and Transmission Cable Replacement

The transmission cable on my '83 Hunter 31 sheered inside the pedestal and needs to be replaced. I'm certain the throttle cable will go soon as well.

Does anyone know what the length is for the cables? Also, any recommendations on which brand to order or who to order from?

I can do the work myself with no problem, I just won't get out to the boat for a week and I'd like to go ahead and order it now if I can. Otherwise, I'll need to get the info next time on the boat and then order it (and lose precious time on the water).

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

your best bet is to remove the old cable a measure it ...and while you are in there look and see if anything may have caused it to fail other than age as for you question i don't have the correct answer other than i used teleflex extreme for replacements they can take a tighter radius turn in routeing
