Does anyone have some experiance to share in replacing the throttle and shift cables within the binical installed on an S2 9.2c. I removed the compass and tried to remove the four screws that hold the compass mount on but was not successful. Two came loose and two were siezed. Am I heading in the right direction to remove the cables from within the binical or is there some other way I am not aware of?
Also any suggestions on replacment cables would be appreciated.

You are right on. I removed it all to paint it. You must get those compass screws out carefully. Then it will be easy to get the cables out. Also on mine there is a clamp about a foot down that holds the cables to the wheel side of the pedestal. The clamp has a nut on the outside you can remove. The cable yokes are the held on by brass cotter pins if I remember correctly. Get that compass mount off and a good flashlight and it should be clear.
