Throttle and shift connections

On an MD11c, does the throttle connection push to idle and pull to increase? That's how it appears. This one has a V drive transmission. The shifting connector is symetrical with no clue which way is forward and which is reverse. Any one know if I should hook up my controls to push for forward or pull? Thanks Geoff

I am not an expert- just repeating information

This topic came up months ago. Several owners of different brands responded that they had also noticed that their shift and/or throttle cables could be hooked up backwards and still function. I think that not a one of them preferred this and corrected to a standard push for forward.

But which way does it go...

I think the several months ago was in response to my question. Obviously I do a poor job of making my request clear. I'll try again. I'm going to hook up the linkage to my new steering/engine controls. I have the option of hooking it up for a shift that pushes for forward/pulls for reverse or visa versa. Does anyone know how the shifting triangle on this transmission works. It's not a big deal; I have a 50% chance of getting it right and if it's wrong and hour or so of work changing it. But if anyone knows... Geoff
