Hi, I am a new Hunter owner. I have a Yanmar engine. When I started the engine I noticed that it idled at 2000 RPMs. I read in the book that It should idle around 850 or 900 RPMs. Can someone tell me how to adjust it? What I know is that there is a throttle linkage on the left hand side of the engine. I was told to see if it is all the way back, it it is pull it forward to stop. THEN WHAT? The other thing I was told is to take off the compass, there are 4 screws take those out. Look and you will see the linkage adjustment cable. Make sure it isn't rusted corroded. If it is, spray some wd40 and then some silicone spray. Use the screw to adjust that is on the front near the steering wheel. Help.
