I just re-powered my 1984 Catalina 30 with a Universal M25XPB. The vessel now has a Two Bladed Prop and I would like to switch to a Three Bladed Prop. Does anyone know what the correct size would be?

I have a 12" prop w/ a pitch of 12, but I'm not sure if that is standard. I have an '82 SR. My M25XPB was installed in '01.

3 Blade
I have a C310 with the same engine and a factory installed 3 bladed prop. It identified as a 10X9 RH. I imagine that a C30 would use a similar prop.

If you haven't purchased your prop yet I would consider the Campbell Sailor Prop. Replaced the 3 Blade Michigan Sailor on my 34 with one. Much better performance under power, forward and Back. Much less prop walk in reverse, and much less drag under sail at very reasonable price. A google search for it shows up several 30'boats using them. I used www.westbynorth.com but there web site is down temporarily. Another sales site. www.vicprop.com/sales.htm Just a happy owner, no interest in the business.
