I have purchased my Beta Marine 14 diesel and had the adapter plate fabricated to accept the new engine. The plate will be secured using the old bolt locations for the original Albin gas engine but I do not know the thread size. It is either 1/2" or a metric equivalent, there is so much dirt build up in the existing threads that I can't tell. I need to know so I can re-tap to seat my new adapter plates. Does anyone know the original size for the threads of the Albin gas engine.Additionally has anyone used the original drive shaft (3/4" I believe) when re-powering. I will be replacing the combi with a 12x7 two blade prop and selling the combi mechanism. Are there any precautions I need to be aware of while doing this.Thanks in advance for all the advice this VERY knowledgeable group can offer me / Hans
