I have a 1990 Hunter 27. the mast is down and I want to thread a spinny halyard. The slots and shieves are in place. How do i do it ? the main and genny halyards are the only lines in the mast now. Thanks to all !

couple ideas

You can use an electrician's snake, or remove the forestay or backstay and use it. Thread it through and tape the halyard to it, then pull it back through. Are you docked at Edw. C Grace Harbor?

Love to hear some good answers

Have the same boat and also have noticed the extra exit on the mast. We haven't even been up on the mast nor have we had it down, but we'd love to know what works. Where are you planning to run the halyard to and how? We have only three lines run to the cabin (main, jib, and vang) I can see that the cabin has the outlines for an additional winch and hardware.
