Thoughts on the Flying Scot

The Scot centerboard has a large lump of lead in it and weighs about 100 lbs.

The boat is stable and reasonably quick. The rigging is simple, main and jib sheets and a vang. Can be sailed singled handed or with a crew of 2 or 3. It has a large and active class association and a builder who is still building new boats.

While searching for available used Flying Scot's, I came across this one and about made me ill. It may have been saved from the landfill though.............

I like it. Looks racy. Actually looks faster to me like that than with the stick on it.
