Thought of y'all today

While driving north on I-95 towards Florence, SC I saw a pretty big but obviously not brand-new sailboat being hauled southward on a flatbed trailer. I've read several posts on this forum asking for advice on moving boats long distances.

Just couldn't help but think of all the folks here who post questions and then answer them. Always something here to look forward to.

so true. but seems like all i do is ask questions and get them answered. i don't really feel knowledgeable enough to offer advice. but i always get quick answers, and so far they have all been good ones.

Same as you. Started hanging around here in 1998. This board gave me the confidence to spend two years tearing through my H37C. These guys and that experience is where I learned any answers I have ever posted. Thirteen years and lots of miles under the keel later I am still asking questions.

I've found that when I ask questions, others have wondered the same thing. Keep asking those questions! One day you'll be able to answer some. And in my case, my answers are not always pertinent or appropriate. But dang this is a fun and informative forum.

This forum is great and I just love reading this forum and learning so much about boats and sailing and so much more.
I think I started poking around in 2000 when looking for advise on my first real sailboat after selling my Hobie and jetskis and than with advise about moving to first NC and finally Florida and really enjoy listening to all you guys with years of sailing and boat experience so keep it up and thanks.

Sorry POTL but I use "guys" generically to include ALL of us. Some of my favorite people are "girls".

P.S. meant to say how sorry I was to read of your situation. Any chance that you can find a partner or two to share the boat? The 40.5 has always been my "stepup" boat. Until my 401K stepped down.

Ah, thanks Ed. Just having some fun with you guys. I appreciate the kind words. I am pretty sure I am going to miss my boat more than i'm going to miss the soon to be ex!

I'd be open to a partner deal if one came along. If you are interested I'll make you a great deal on emmanuel. You would love her.

You Guys is NY slang for all girls and guys and like ED said it includes both girls and guys and women too,sorry it's a Brooklyn,NY habit I have not lost and here in Florida people know I am from NY as soon as I start talking.
Princess sorry to here your situation but I went through your situation in 1988 and been happyerly remarried since 1992 and it was the best thing that ever happen to me.

Thanks Nick. All I want is a nice guy with a sailboat who can rewire an electrical panel and owns a soldering gun. The ability to read charts, plot a course and stand a watch. Also must like rum and think I am fabulous. That's all!

When I teach I refer to "firemen/man" as "firemin". Covers both sexes. I refuse to say "firefighter" as I am proud to be old school.
