Went for a sail MLK holiday weekend. Sailed from MDR to PV lighthouse looking for whales. Timo42 and I motored all day. We had decent wind but it was right on the nose all of the way. I understand there was a group of 26 grays out there that day bur we saw none. Of course the wind change on us so it was on out nose coming home so we motored back. About El Segundo we nearly ran over the biggest blackest whale I've ever seen. He was feeding and hung around for quite a while. Took a lot of video and picts but the couldn't see the screen to notice that the sd card was full. I had another camera on board and decided to use it and got one video of the whale. The next day went out with my co-worker Steve for a day sail in Santa Monica Bay. We only saw dolphins that day.
It was really a relaxing weekend to unwind.

I must say I'm envious. Don't see many whales in the gulf. There were a pod of Orcas here last summer some of the Tuna fisherman found, but I didn't see them.. At least our weather is very nice.

I get it on my Android. Went to yourube to see if there was something I needed to do to make it mobile ready and couldn't find anything.

Thanks for the video.......it's about 10 degrees today but getting warmer next week they say but if it don't I'll be posting pictures or videos of ice boats doing 50+ in the Great South Bay

Your you tube thing...
Still does not work with windows 8.....It wants me to update my adobe flash player....My adobe flash is updated as far as it gets 11.0.... with windows 8 any more and it screws up all my browser functions to were nothing works at all. Took me nearly a hole day to completely erase adobe off computer so I could then load just the 11.0 version..... Which works fine now....The constant harassment to update which will screw things up again is really getting old!!!
So I guess I will not be viewing your sailing video....Sorry would have liked to have seen it.

It my be due to the song choice. Copyright resrricts it from mobile phone from what I understand. I have another song that is on my USB stick on the boat. If I can find another copy of that on my puter I will redo it. It's and old song by Pete Seeger. I remembered the title last night in my sleep but forgot it this morning whe I woke up. I don't think that Pete Seeger is as money hungry as Bruno Mars. Anyway standby.

We have shorts and t-shirt weather but no whales! Dolphins and manatees in the lagoon.
