Hi fellow Vega (whatever).

That's a sad story.. May be some of you remember when a fellow Vega
(whatever)
was looking for an inexpensive sail. Well, I offered him my old main
sail and shipped
it to him. Cost me some 35 dollars. I was hoping he would pay for the
shipment, and
wouldn't you know, after a few months I did get a check for 40 dollars.
Wauuu,, even
a little tip. My first thought was to tear up the check and write off
the expense. Sadly, I
didn't do it! I deposited this check in and gave it no other thought.
Well, today I got
notice from my bank 'the check bounced'! And it cost me another 15 Dollars.
Needless to say- I'm no longer up to giving a helping hand to another
Vega (whatever).

I've been 'had'.... !!!

wilhelm , I know there are some really BS people. I'll have to sell my good old Vega this season and won't do the deal without a cashier's check.

Caution!!!! Some excellent forgeries of cashiers checks out there. Might be
better to have there bank transfer funds to your bank before turning over
any paperwork. Walt

Sorry Wilhelm,
My wife informed me last week that we had bounced a check. I was
praying it was not the one to you. I would rather have bounced the
check to the mortgage company. The bank is the only one to benefit
from this misfortune. My deepest apologies. The money goes out at
lunch today.

ok, this is none of my business, but I can't help myself...
It can be very hard to detect emotions in e-mails, but they way I
enterpirate your answer I must say you sound very unforgiving. Rob made
a mistake; it can happen to anybody.
Especially when checks seems to be a poor system for exchanging money.
The future of internet is bright, though.
Best to you both,
Olle, V280, Sweden (where checks no longer constitute a threat to good
mood)

Dave,
Thanks, I must admit the trailer sounds nice but I have located something within sailing distance.
