Or just get a 350 diesel and be done with the nonsense. The new (to me) truck is a long box with the long wheelbase. The fact that you need a fleet of Fiat 500s to get you into a parking space aside, it rides great for a 1 ton and actually gets better mileage than my buddy's EcoBoost. Go figure. Anyway, I put up the second last trailer post:

The last trailer post will have the details about the spare tire/dolly wheel assembly, after we figure out why it bent and who made the cheap steel, and that's my story!
Cheers
Gary

I don't have any problems with my Nissan Titan truck, plus its 4 wheel drive, rides great, 18 mpg not towing, 10/12 towing, only $30k when new. Chief

No slight intended to your truck. The thing that bugs me is the need to get all this aftermarket junk that would have cost pennies at the manufacturing level.

No problem, as I understand. I added the extra large tranny pan as a heat safety measure since we know the tow is heavy. Later, Chief

Thanks Dave. I thought I took a whole bunch, but apparently I was blinded by the welding light. Again.

Meriachee;

We do not know each other but having designed trailers, pulled boats with dooleys and lighter vehicles on various small boats up to the 36 Hunter for over 30 years, I know a lot more than most and that includes even launching a Catalina 27 over an embankment and bridge as well with the mast up. Only you know for sure what will work as you have what it appears pulled that boat before. Take care and again good work on that trailer and please in the future use a welder face mask next time.

Dave,
A what? That's Ronnies job. I just design the stuff and deal with the electronics, get to play with the grinder and the fit and finish. Anything much more than 5v and a couple hundred milliamps is outta my league. (And that's my story)
