I am thinking of buying a used 140 to sail on Lake Erie with a local sailing club. I currently have a 1980 Day sailer, a Sunfish and access to a Laser, all of which I sail on the lake. I am wondering if anyone has experince on Lake Erie or Ontario with the 140 and whether it would be a good choice to replace the day sailer. I sail either alone or with one or two of my kids. We do a little bit of casual racing (mixed class) and cruising. It looks perfect. I also like the 170 but not sure I want to spend the additional money. I like the size of the 140.
