Yup

No doubt the company that made your vessel used the same approach to same money. Think you have tinned marine wire? Check again Oil filters, fuel filters and belts are best sourced at auto (or Kubota) parts store. Impellers are cheaper at NAPA than Worst(West) Marine. I still like those ebay prices!

Here are but a few things that I have...

picked up for our boat at our local thrift stores (Value Village, Good Will, Thrift Stores of America, St. Vincent De Paul, Volunteers of America, etc.) and garage sales for next to nothing: 1. About 90% of our galley gear. One of my better finds was an enamel covered steel roaster pan with lid and rack for cooking chicken, beef roasts, etc.; cost me $8. 2. Cone shaped through hull plugs $1. 3. Assorted tools. 4. Foul weather gear. 100% polyester fleece outfits help keep you warm out on the water. Under $10. 5. Tupperware/Rubbbermaid storage containers. Great for organizing and storing small stuff such as oyster knives, flashlights, batteries, flares, gloves, cleaning supplies, etc. 6. Several 100 feet of mostly three strand rope. Terry

Tarps

So many tricks of the tarp, but here is a must. Your h23 is a good girl, but you will get leaks around your sliding hatch in a breezy rain, so you may want this ready to go in the spring. A 9x7 to 9x9 tarp with 6 One foot bungie cords. And once you have it tight over the boom it can take alot of weather. And you will be able to leave your campanionway open to breath at night. Then expeirment with a shorter top lift, 9x12 or so and some of those flexable tent sticks. Make yourself a nice sunbrella for about $20.
