Have the standard refrig on my Hunter 410, 2000, and the thermostat in the freezer has corroded and failed. Removed it and shorted the wires, and refrig works OK. Can I get a better one somewhere to replace it, perhaps with digital readout? Should I replace the thermostat in the frig compartment as well? Don't want to just replace same one and watch it corrode again. Thanks- S/V Breathless

Steve, you can order a new thermostat from Rparts in California (approx $15). They sell all types of refrigeration components. I mounted my thermostat on the outside of the refrig compartment and ran the capillary tube inside and connected it to the evaporator. Just be sure to put most of the spare cap. tubing inside of the refrig compartment for it to work correctly.
