This season is my third now with 222-O. Since I haven't owned a sailboat in the last fifty years it is nice to get back to the peace and quiet again.. Thinking that The six gallon fuel tank that came with the New to me O'day is what I would need. I changed it out to a three gallon tank because I have not bee able to use all six gallon in one season. At the end of this month I'll need to freshen up the fuel and may only have to add one and a half gallons to the tank.Haven't noticed the difference in total boats in my Marina this year, but have noticed less usage.. Charter fishing seems the same. But have seen a few new sailboats around and definitely more blow boats on the water.I sold my power boat only because I've retired and can now spend more quality time on the water. The Wed night racing is the best fun. However I had thought about getting back to sailing long before I retired. The power boat was so easy to make ready and put away and it filled my needs while I was working. (Turn the key and go ). All being said the economy is pretty nice too. I never would have believed that a 5 HP, one cylinder 4-stroke motor could be so stingy on gas.
