I think Sea Dart looks great,

and I'd like to thank the State of Idaho and those involved for preserving her. Tristan was a sailor that spun yarns and a yarn requires some hyperbole to make the important parts shine and remain memorable much like an "oral history" from which they are derived. Last I heard of the Dart it had been slightly rebuilt to accompany Tristan cross country on a tour for the book. Amazing to see it looking better than it did "in the day".

Oh yeah, I can see the mast under

trailer, would have never crossed my mind to carry the mast under the boat. One of those "How come no one thought of that before?" ideas. Nice cover, after the admiral caught me using her new Singer to repair the sunband on a Genny I may have to buy myself a heavier machine.

Mast Position

Having the mast down there requires a couple more people to set her up. There is also the danger of dragging the standing rigging, if not tied up correctly. Most boat covers use the mast for the top center, I used the lifelines with big back up patches. John S
