Just for fun, have you met up with other SBO folks? Here is a picture from this morning in Friday Harbor, WA this morning. From the left John (Jssalem), his friend Larry, Stu Jackson, and myself (Ken Cross). I have to say, that it's a fun group of smart guys.

Everyone should try for such a gathering.

Well heck. I thought y'all were all old. It's nice to see a bunch of young sailors. Maybe there's hope for the sport after all!

This is @25yearslater (Joe) and me (Wayne) on two separate occasions. Not the two young guys, in either photo although both are gifted sailors as well. First pic on the 27 Oday, 2nd pic on the H30C. The guys without hats are not me.

Wow, I had to double check that O'Day twice to see if it was the one we owned. What a nice one! (It isn't. I had to have a new mast installed when I had an upper rigging tang fail, and the new one I ordered LP'ed blue.

Do ya'll fly the SBO burgee? I always do in Catalina Island, but have never had anyone pick up on it.

Great idea and here is a twist that may add some interesting goals.
A Harley Davidson forum I belong to has a flag that is passed from one traveler to another when on a trip, the goal is to contact a rider (replace rider with sailor) and they meet at which time they pass the flag on to the next sailor and so on, I think you get the idea.
So I know it is a bit different, but I think it would work, with this forum, say have a half dozen flags made up and send them out to various regions and then see what happens.

Aw, Man.... Saturday night I met up with NJLarry in Rock Hall. Shoulda got a picture, but we were too overcome with emotion to think about it. Nice lady, he has there, too.

I was thinking I would put a name tag on my shirt SBO DAVA next time I'm at Annapolis boat show,see who spots me.

Barring all the intellectual comments, is there a Burgee and if so how does one acquire such a display of loyalty?

Yes they appear to be sold out, there was a long conversation on this topic back in March, seems Phil was going to look into a couple of suggested companies to replenish the inventory but the trail went cold

We are sold out and that will be the case until Fall, when we can exhale again. But they will be back!
