Can you see a screw head in the winch handle hole, or a snap ring at the very top, or if you push a screwdriver into the winch hole is the internal plate spring loaded? (three different things to look for on different winches. Which do you have?) Screw down center hole 3. Are you going to rebuild on dry land or while the boat is in the water? dry land have taken the drum off found two latches with springs, the three screws that hold to boat are rusted and need replacement. Does the center of the drum rotate or have bearings in it? thanks
