The perfect dinghy?

Peter - I really like the Pudgy. Its just so darn expensive. Especially when you add in the sailing rig and life raft cover. I think the Capt. of Sin Tacha should attempt to design and build a scaled down version that fits on the foredeck of our beloved Vegas. Then said generous Captain could make the plans available to the rest of us!

Ha Ha .. a little beyond my capabilities!
It'll fit the fore deck for length, but I'd have to make a few measurements for width, especially near the bow.

Anyway, if I were going off shore, I'd certainly give it serious consideration! But for now I'll stick with the ultra-lite Black Fly.

We looked into the Pudgy before leaving Hawaii. It is very appealing, but we decided it is just a bit too big for our little boat. It might be OK if you have a roller reefing headsail though.
