Jim Geddes and his friend Erin have made it from New York to Florida safe and sound. They arrived in New Smyrna Beach last Tuesday morning after sailing offshore from South Carolina. They are a delightful couple who have their act together. Observing them last week, I was envious of their spirit and youthful joix de vie. They are a testament to the notion that you don't have to wait until you have a world of experience and money.

Their plans call for an offshore trip from Port Canaveral to Ft. Pierce, then down the ditch to the Okechobee waterway and across the lake to Naples. So, if you are on their route, post a note of support and if you can host them for a day or two they would be very appreciative. They are using wifi with their laptop, which is spotty, but they can communicate via cell phone. So leave them a number if you can help.
