Can any of you who are owners of the new Hunter 25 give me your thoughts on the boat? I'm thinking about purchasing one, but am not sure about how it is to sail and live aboard for a weekend or so. One thing in particular that concerns me is the +very+ shallow keel. Is it a tender boat as a result? Thanks, Dave...

Not that tender

I just purchased mine, and compared to the other boats in its class it is the least tender in my opinion. At the Annapolis boat show, I walked all over her and there were bigger boats there that moved a whole lot more. I would not consider her a live aboard boat. Weekender, maybe a week tops. There is a low amount of storage space, but if you get rid of the "chart table" and build a cabinet there and one over the trash bin, you could double the storage space w/o much trouble at all.

Keel depth depends on what you order

There is the wing keel and the deep keel. You just have to choose which you want. The deep keel is 5' and drops the handicap to the low 190's. Check the spec's on their web site, lots of good info if you piece it together.
