The loop

I'm interested in doing the loop early next year: Annapolis north to C&D canal, Delaware bay south to the ocean South and back North on the Chesapeake bay.Does anybody have any tips, sugestions, experiences and how long would it take.Thanks in advance.Ozana

Im giving the delmarva trip some thought, as well. Probably not til 2004 though. I don't think my boat, Columbia 8.7, and my mind are quite ready.Check out the link below.... great trip from what Ive heard, but they are doing it reversed this year.

Go the other way!!

I may seem off-base here but by my calcluations (being at the NJ shore in summers) you will be UPWIND going down the outside coast. I have looked into this trip too and calculate it'd be better going down the Bay, round Cape Charles and up the outside. The Bay is far easier to tack in-- lots of sheltered coves to duck into for a night. Besides you get the opportunty to fly a nice multicoloured chute past all the babes on the beach....Then again we HAVE had a notorious little rash of northeast wind lately, so how should I know?We'll see.JC 2
