Here is a simple, smart galley tip. Fill a heavy plastic container like a half gallon apple juice bottle nearly to the the top with water, leaving room for expansion. Put it in the freezer at home until thoroughly frozen. When you go out on your boat for a cruise, use your frozen containers instead of block ice. Three good things happen:1. You don't have to spend money on block ice.2. As the ice melts, you have a ready supply of good tasting ice water in your icebox.3. When the ice melts it's contained in the bottle and doesn't drain down into the bilge. We find about three of these do a good job keeping our fridge cold over a cruising weekend.Credit goes to another H335 owner, Francis of Maple Bay, BCGary WyngardenS/V Shibumi H335
