I think that depends on how many other sailors take that approach.

I was actually thinking more along the lines of the often filthy water - but to your point, that could exacerbate that issue..

Not at all. I would think the filthy opaque water of the marina would provide welcome protection to the eyes of anyone not expecting to see such a "questionable practice" first thing in the morning in their marina.

Speaking for myself, I would much prefer to be struck blind rather that run the risk of witnessing such a sight.

My thoughts almost exactly. I'd use a rechargeable desiccant.
Silica gel is absolutely rechargeable. Standard practice in commercial scale dehumidification processes. Just microwave it for a few minutes or put it in a warm oven.

All TP is not alike. What kind of TP is being used? We only use good quality (Scott) single ply TP and have never had a problem with moisture or a clogged head.

Um,... by having a dry boat? I keep my spare rolls in a storage locker and the current roll is on a holder on the inside face of the cabinet door of the head. The inside of the cabinet is the hull of the boat. Never had any wet or damp TP.

@Timm R Oday25 I'm not sure if you posted this before or after your post about the hatch vent but I had two 3", mediocre solar vents in my cabin top. They made a world of difference even though the bearings were shot. Well worth the $8 shipped I paid on ebay.

+1 on the silica gel. we used some brewing or pulp extraction bags for breathability. Their 3/4 of the way to purple to indicate that they are working. Cost is significantly cheaper if you buy a container of the beads by the pound. I do recommend resting the bag in an opened container to prevent a mess
