Peggie's sage and very practical advice will be immortalized in the records of her posts here. For myself, all I can say is a very warm Thankyou! As I'm sure she has done for many others, Peggie took the time to speak with me on the phone about my "unique" problem. Her advice was true to the mark and took care of my "unique" issue. I say "unique" with a bit of tongue-in-cheek as I'm sure she has heard it all before, and yet she remained patient with yet another newbie to marine head issues. To anyone who in the future needs help with their "unique" problem, I'd suggest buying her book as it pretty much covers it all, though without the personal tough that Peggie added in her responses and advice here. -Tom

Anyhow, I am happy to see her take a break and get on with a new part of her life.

Although saddened by the news I'm happy to have been a frequent reader of your forum threads. Having this website slowed down by the number of people reading this post is a testiment of the many people you've touched. Now I'm going to say it, "Your #1 in the #2 business." The first maintenance book we bought was yours and I've kept it nearby for quick reminders. Sail on.

From a landlubber plumber to my marine counterpart let me just say congratulations on your years of service and countless upgrades/improvements you have made to the safety and health of boaters on forums everywhere. Most people outside of our industries will never understand nor appreciate that our primary purpose in plumbing IS sanitation. Without it many lives have been needlessly lost and many more needlessly sickened.
Enjoy your yourself and please drop in from time to time and keep us all on the right path.

Peggy, Thanks so much for your advice and terrific attitude when so many repeated the same questions over and over. Your book was the first thing I bought when we purchased our boat in 2002. We've had great success following your advice. Enjoy your retirement and God Bless.

Peggie was also a great help to me. I was thrilled to learn my boat was outfitted with "The Cadillac of Toilets" (Groco Type K), and received great personal help repairing and replumbing, even over the phone from her, for no other benefit to her apparently than the joy of giving. My system is still working like a charm! I wish you the best Peggie!
