the going price... of Oday 22

I have an Oday 22 from 1974... its not in new space... obviously if its from 1974... but i was wondering what someone thinks i could get for it... i want to sell everything... i have a 1976 trailer... all the seat/cushions... the sails... the mast... the 6 horse power engine... a port-a-potti and water tank... i think thats everything... please ask if i have left anything out if you have any advice or suggestions... please email me at bek567@yahoo.comthank you for your time and help

Price of a 22 O'Day

I just bought a '73 O'Day 23 on a tandem axel trailer for $400! Of course its a project boat, but it has everything (but electronics), and all the work is do-able. I put it up for sale immediatly for $1200, and already have a buyer (for $1000) although the deal is not yet complete. However, a good friend of mine bought a 1985 O'Day 222, ready to sail for $2000. The old man who owned it was asking $3000 but my friend couldn't afford it, so he waited. Then a week or two later the old man said he'd take $2000, so my friend bought it. I think all he did was buy a new roller furling drum. Sweet boat. Are you sure you want to sell it? Its a really nice boat and is great for fun with friends, or just to get away from it all for a weekend. I wish you lived near me, I'd love to buy it if the price were right, and/or you'd take payments.

22 O'Day

I bought my 1974 O'Day a year ago May for $2600. It is in very good shape. It came with a 9.9 HP Johnson, trailer, life vests, cushions, oars, two anchors, a Genoa and a Jib, Main, stereo, uhf, port-o-potty, tools, dock lines...everything. It is my first boat ever, and has been a real treat.

O'Day 22 Value

I would "ask" $3500..You can always take less. "Sell" the fact that a new one would most likely cost $10000+I have a 1972.....When I'm done with it (when they are ready to bury me!) the boat is going to a Childrens Cancer Camp. I want the boat to go on sailing and maybe help some kids forget their problems, if only for a little while.
