I'm in the market as were . Colonial Beach
I borrowed that title from an odd movie, but I am starting to wonder. It is snowing here today. It is actually sticking. Two days ago it was 77 degrees outside.

At this point I am glad that I didn't de-winterize the boat yet.

Why can't it just get nice so the season can begin?

Well, here in Syracuse, snow in march, april, even may is a given. Just means that you need to...dare I say it...branch out and enjoy things other than sailing? Or just take up ice boating...

Snow and we have

Wow, you north guys still getting snow. Yesterday saw the first of the crop of spring ducklings on the canal. Looked to be a day or two old. Very small. This does seem a little early, but mamma was out proudly leading them around.

It's my fault... I bought a bigger boat early this week, won't get nice until my wife goes into labor, at which time it will be a while for me to get out I bet... BUT, I dewinterized last week and got out for an overnighter which was nice anyway. No snow down here though, just cold and rainy for the whole weekend, hopefully stays plenty warm for us here as now I have two boats to re-winterize if I must....:doh:

Hey! here on the southern shore of Lake Ontario I am seeing buds on the trees and the annuals starting to pop out of the ground. Reality: We still have a month and a half to go before splashing.

Here in April you have to really watch the forecast. We get these fronts that fly through the Chesapeake Bay. It can look like perfect conditions and then an hour later be blowing a full gale out of the North West. It only took me once to learn my lesson. April sailing here is cautious sailing.

Just another day in Paradise for us yesterday.
Going to the Rodeo in Arcadia today and than sailing tomorrow.
We will pray to the warm weather gods for you northerners.

Spring weather doesn't mean that the gods are crazy, just tired of complaints about the weather. It certainly seems like the greatest truism about spring weather in my area is that if you don't like the weather, just wait a few minutes.
