Still heading south, slowly. But must tell you, coming out of Boca Grande pass Sunday morning was a new experience. I assume the Tarpon are running as the boats out there were wall to wall. Or Worse. Have never seen so many boats, in such a small area. Must have been 50 or more boats, nearly gunwale to gunwale. Absolutely amazing. Made it into Ft.Meyers late yesterday, and heading out to the Tortugas in the AM.

Phil, we do that in Stuart when we are catching bait. It's fun to put a 6 hooker down and come up with 6 baitfish!
Don't know what they were doing, could have been for the bait.
Nice to see you progressing on your trip.
We are looking forward to the Dry Tortugas when we are ready.

When the strippers are running up here you find boats like that. Just give them a wide berth and they stay happy.

Yeah, stay away from those strip clubs if you don't want to upset the fishermen.

yes they are Tarpon fishing. Its something to behold for sure. There is a deep hole right in that area where the tarpon congregte. Also, i think it is tournament time. They have to keep the motor running to keep up with the current that rips through there. Once a fish is on its crazzy trying to fight/follow the fish through the gauntlet of boats-have to yell "fish on" to get teir attention and get them to move. Course there's always an idiot or two-try to anchor, have too small a craft etc. it gets pretty choppy in there at times. Have a good trip-its frigin hot these days!!!!
